Elephant Ears

Elephant Ears

Elephant Ears grow well in soil with good drainage and thrive in partial sun to shade. They are also at home indoors in pots. If you are looking for a plant to fill a large area, Elephant Ears are ideal.

Plant outside when all danger of frost has passed and outside temperatures are at least 50 degrees. (Average date of last frost in our area is May 15.) Plant bulbs blunt end down, 12” apart, and in a place which is sheltered from wind to protect the leaves. Keep the soil evenly moist and fertilize at least once a month.

Prior to frost, dig, dry, and store bulbs in a cool, dry, frost-free location.
